Bar None Trivia

5.0/5 (2 Review)

Bringing joy to the remote world

We are Bar None Trivia and we’ve helped hundreds of companies, teams, and families, and friends stay connected while remote. Our game runs 60 minutes long and consists of three rounds of bar-style trivia with 10 questions per round. In each round, our host reads the 10 questions to the large group, then sends people to breakout rooms of 4-8 people to deliberate for 7 minutes and submit one answer form per team. After forms are submitted, we call all groups back into the main room, read answers, give a scoring update and move on to the next round. Teams stay together throughout the game.

The game consists of a picture round (where we show a Google doc with 10 related images and participants need to identify as many as possible), a music round (where we play clips of 10 songs linked by some common theme, and participants need to name as many song/artist combos as possible), and a final round with creative and topical trivia questions worth double points (so all teams are in contention until the end).

The main goal of our game is to keep people connected when they can’t be physically present. At the end of the game, we name a winner — with bragging rights that last for eternity — but all participants leave energized and eager for a rematch!

My Background

I created Bar None Trivia as a way to keep my business school classmates connected during the pandemic and the company took off from there! Since August, we've hosted over 600 games for hundreds of companies (from Apple to Pepsi, from McKinsey to Uber), dozens of universities (including Harvard, Cornell, Georgia, Vanderbilt, and more), and large group gatherings (birthday parties, bridal showers, and more). I myself have a background in business and a passion for stand-up and improv comedy. Our team of hosts consists of actors, actresses, and all-around fun people whose passion is building community even when we can't be physically present. We have fun questions (with customizable difficulty level) for any group, seamless operations, and consistent 5-star ratings. We love making people happy and hosting group events.
